Post Lanterns Look their best if mounted 6.5 - 7.5 feet above grade. Three feet below grade will reach below the frost line in most areas, and insure that the post will not be disturbed by frost heaves. Post should be 12 to 20 feet away from the house.
Most Lanterns are made with standard socket, with total wattage not to exceed 150 watts.
